Frequently asked questions

Do I need a programmer to connect the bot?

No. You create the bot in @BotFather and paste its token into the settings. Everything else, including the webhook, sets itself up.

What if an actor forgets the keyword?

The message goes to the Unsorted tab of the Telegram inbox. If the actor already has an application, the photos and videos they send are added to it automatically.

Can actors send long self-tapes?

Yes, up to 2 GB per video. Our own Bot API server lifts Telegram’s usual 20 MB limit for bots.

Can I take applications on my personal Telegram account instead?

Yes. Connect it by phone number or by scanning a QR code: messages with a casting keyword become applications too, and nothing is ever sent from your account automatically.
